How I came into a relationship with Jesus Christ?
I had very little exposure to religion growing up and did not know who Jesus or God was. I was raised in a single-parent home and my mom did not attend church. One day a friend I knew from a local trading card store invited me to youth group. I accepted and ended up knowing several students from school who also attended. I kept going back and I really enjoyed learning about the Bible and Jesus. Even though I didn’t have a way to get there on my own, people from the church gave me rides so I could keep attending. After being part of the group for a while, I asked the youth pastor how I could be saved. We said the sinner’s prayer on January 23, 2002.
How I came to CDO Bible Church
My wife and I felt the tug to step out in faith to develop a community at a new church near where we live in Catalina. We started attending on Mother’s Day of 2024. We continued attending and became members in April 2025.

Why I do what I do?
I’ve had a passion for serving youth ever since I was one myself. I faced many tough experiences growing up, and finding Jesus not only transformed me but set my life on a positive path. God used youth group to get my attention, and it became a turning point in my story. If even one student can find the saving grace of Jesus and find guidance or avoid hardships through lessons I learned the hard way, I want to be there for them. I have spent nearly ten years volunteering with youth, and they are truly a joy to work with—always keeping me on my toes and often surprising me in the best ways. My heart goes out to them, and I hope to support them as they grow, develop, and deepen their relationship with God.
