How I came into a relationship with Jesus Christ?
I was blessed to grow up in a loving Christian family, where from an early age I learned the stories of the Bible. At the age of 6 I told my parents that I would like to “ask Jesus into my heart”. That night my father took a children’s Bible, and turning to the pictures of Jesus death and resurrection my father explained to me in simple terms why Jesus died and what it meant that he died for my sins in my place on the cross. He then asked me if I wanted to pray with him, to acknowledge my sins and my need for a savior, and to trust in Jesus for the forgiveness of my sins and for the gift of eternal life.
How I came to CDO Bible Church
After spending 16 years overseas in Pakistan, Vietnam and Germany the Lord made it clear that it was time for our family to return to the US. As our season in Germany was coming to a close we began to prayerfully ask God to open a door for church planting in the US. That prayer was answered when we were connected to CDOBC and their vision to plant a daughter church here in Tucson.
What I do at CDO Bible Church
I have the joy of leading the new church that God is calling CDOBC to plant. Over the next year I will develop a plan, share that vision, and invite CDOBC as well as members in the community to participate in what God is doing.
Why I do what I do?
God has given me a passion for investing my life in the local church and for shepherding His people. Apart from knowing Christ there is no greater joy than in being a part of His church.
