SMALL GROUPS

Canyon Del Oro Bible Church has declared its mission of reaching people for Christ and helping them grow in their faith. How do small groups fit into that? Small groups provide a setting for believers to grow in Christ, build community, and encourage one another. What does all that mean, though?

Sunday Morning Groups – these are more like traditional Sunday School classes which meet on Sunday mornings during both services.

Classic Small Groups – these are typically groups which meet during the week in homes of the group members. These groups can meet weekly or 2x/month and a typical group meeting will consist of a Bible study, prayer time and fellowship (usually enjoying a dessert!).

Women’s Community Groups – The purpose of Women’s Community at CDOBC is to connect women at Canyon Del Oro Bible Church and the surrounding community to Jesus, The Church, and each other for the purpose of equipping, encouraging and evangelizing. We desire to see true community and fellowship among the women of the church and to connect with other women in the community through activities that are fun and point to Jesus.

Digital Groups – We are excited to offer digital groups that you can enjoy from the comfort of your own workspace. These small groups are for anyone who want to take a deep dive into the Scriptures and gain new insights into effective ways to study your Bible and define your beliefs. There are limited times the classes are open, so sign up today.

Our desire is for every person who attends CDOBC to Connect and Grow…

• All believers should grow in Christ. That means they increase in their knowledge and understanding of God and become more like Christ in their own life.

• We also want the members of our church to make connections with other Christians and build community. Community is living life together; sharing in each other’s joys, hurts, hopes, and accomplishments. Community goes beyond the surface level to the deep relationships with other believers that we all need and long for.

• Finally, living out our Christian life requires encouragement from other believers that know us and can speak to our hearts, people we trust. In small groups we can encourage each other as we grow in our faith, seek ways to serve the church body, and reach out to the lost with the Gospel message of salvation in Christ.
