How I came into a relationship with Jesus Christ?
I was born to a Lutheran pastor and grew up in the Lutheran church. My mother later served as a Lutheran youth director. Church was part of the “family business.” From as far back as I can remember I knew who Jesus was and that He died for my sins. I had a clear childlike faith as I just believed it without questioning. As I grew up, I continued to follow Christ, and in junior high, I began taking confirmation classes at our church. These classes were a time for youth to study what it meant to believe, and we were studying what I had blindly followed for all of those years. It was during this time that my faith became real to me. I could feel the Holy Spirit working in my heart, and I was then able to–wholeheartedly with complete understanding–say I believe in Jesus Christ. I dove into youth ministry at my church and turned over control of my life to Christ. He took me on a wild ride and finally brought me to CDO Bible Church to serve Him here.
How I came to CDO Bible Church
I was familiar with CDO Bible Church for the last three years. Pastor Steve’s daughter, Jessie, was on the preschool staff at Ascension and I was the director there. When Pastor Steve began exploring the possibility of having an Early Childhood Education program on the campus of CDO Bible Church he came and spoke with me for some advice and tips from my experience. When I felt God was telling me it was my time to leave Ascension I came across the advertisement for the director position at Blessed Beginnings. I knew immediately God was leading me here. I prayerfully went through the application and interview process and was ultimately brought to CDO Bible Church to serve.
